- Open the LUXR app and tap on “Login”
- Click “Forgot?” in the Password field
- In the next window, enter your registered email address or phone number.
Subsequently, you will receive an e-mail or text message with additional information. Depending on your provider, this may take up to 3 hours. You have not received your password e-mail or text from us? Please also check your spam folder. You may also have used a different e-mail address or phone number during registration. Hence, please also check your other e-mail accounts or phone numbers.
You will notice various symbols in the LUXR app.
Their meaning is as follows:
Shield with green tick: verified user
Heart: you LIKE this user
The “X”: You want to ignore this user for now
Green dot: the user is logged in
Crown inside a circle: this user is a VIP
Please proceed as follows to modify your search settings for the results in Match or the Live Radar:
- Click on the small round “Settings” symbol at the top left
- Open “Search preferences” from the menu
- Modify your search preference according to gender and age location or any other criteria if you wish to
Please follow these steps to temporarily log out of LUXR:
- Click on the small round “Settings” symbol at the top left
- Open “My Account” from the menu
- You will then find “Logout” in the bottom of screen You can log back in again at any time with your e-mail address or phone number and your password.
If you decide to Deactivate your profile, all your images, chat histories and contacts will also be removed. These items can be restored if you wish to re-activate your account in the future. How to Deactivate your profile in the LUXR app:
- Click on the small round “Settings” symbol at the top left
- Open “Privacy settings” from the menu
- You will then find “Deactivate” in the bottom of screen
Please note: All paid services, such as credits, will be forfeited and will not be refunded. Running subscriptions will not automatically be terminated when your profile is Deactivated. Only you can modify the corresponding settings at your payment processor. Naturally, we would be glad to help you with the deactivation of your account. In order to be able to do so, please provide our Support team with the following information: – the email address you used during registration – your username – your date of birth
On LUXR, you can change your date of birth once as follows.
- Click on the small round “Settings” symbol at the top left
- Open “My Account” from the menu
- Select “My account” and then “Birthday/Age”
- Confirm your changes
Stealth mode is a special feature on LUXR. Once this feature is activated, your profile will disappear from the search results and you can visit and browse through other profiles unnoticed.
The users you have viewed will not be informed of your visit. Your profile will only become visible when you contact a user. Ghost mode is a premium feature that is only available to VIP users.
It can be activated in the app as follows: Become a VIP today, and you can try Stealth mode out for yourself!
To view your profile visitors, please proceed as follows:
- Click on the small round “Settings” symbol at the top left
- Open “My Prospects” from the menu
- Select VIEWS tab.
First of all, make sure you have an awesome photo of yourself. Show how much of a fun loving bubbly person you are. LUXR is all about having fun, so no serious poses, or blurred face, it’s a turn off for most people. There are many ways to increase your match chances.
- It’s a numbers game, the more people you like, the more likely they’ll like you back.
- Verified members get more LIKES, so make sure you’re verified
- VIP members are the bomb, get your VIP badge and get ready for instant attention.
If you MATCHED with someone, but then figured out they’re not what you’re looking for or you changed your mind, you can UN_MATCH with them. This is how you do it:
- Open the profile of the user you want to block
- Tap on the three dots “…” under their profile picture
- Click on “Report”
Having technical difficulties with the app? Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. We will do our best to help you solve the problem. Please send an email to our support team with the following information so that we can pinpoint the problem:
- The e-mail address or phone number you used to register
- Your username
- A detailed description of the error, with screenshots if possible
- Information on your device, operating system, browser, and the version of the app you are using In all cases, we will forward your problem to our developers, so that a solution can quickly be found for your problem. In the meantime, we thank you for your patience.
Are you having difficulty verifying your profile?
If so, please pay attention to the following points:
- In order to obtain the “Verified” Sheild, we require a photo of you in which you are holding a piece of paper with your user name and the daily code written on it.
- We require at least 24 hours to complete the verification process, or longer in certain cases. Please be patient
- If you are having problems with uploading the verification photo in the app, please try doing so via the website.
Your verification was turned down?
There are a number of possible reasons for this. Please check if you fulfill the following prerequisites:
- Is there at least one photo of you in your gallery in which you are alone and clearly recognizable?
- Did you write your user name and daily code correctly and legibly on a piece of paper?
- Can your face, user name, and daily code be seen clearly on the verification photo?
Unfortunately, blurry and ambiguous photos will have to be rejected. A verification can only be successful if all the criteria listed above are fulfilled. You did everything right, but your verification was still unsuccessful? In that case, please contact our support team. You can also attach your verification image as an attachment to your request.
Your current location is not displayed correctly?
This is how you can change it:
- Restart your phone
- Start the Google Maps app
- Position yourself at your current location Your position on LUXR should now also appear correctly.
Due to reasons of data privacy, only your rough location will be displayed — never your exact location. Every now and then, the GPS module of your phone may cease to function. Restarting your smartphone solves this problem.
LUXR keeps loading and nothing is happening? There are a number of possible reasons for this. Unusually long load times may be due to e. g. your mobile service provider. First of all, please check if the app is working properly when using a WiFi connection. In addition, it is also possible that the long load times are due to your cache.
To delete the cache on your iOS device, please proceed as follows:
- Double tap on the Home button
- Scroll down to the LUXR app
- Exit LUXR by swiping upwards
- Tap the Home screen once and restart LUXR
- Restarting your iOS device may also be helpful
Generally, you should only use the latest operating system for your smartphone as well as the latest version of LUXR. If the app keeps crashing, it may be due to your cache. To find out how to delete it on your Android or iOS device, please refer to the article “The app is not loading”.
Are you unable to log in to LUXR? First, please check if you have entered your information correctly.
This includes: – The e-mail address you used to register (e. e.g. [email protected]) or Phone number and your personal password If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it using the “Forgot?” You have not received a password e-mail or text from us even though your e-mail address or Phone number was successfully confirmed? First, have a look in your spam folder if you are unable to find the e-mail in your inbox! You may also have used a different e-mail address or phone number during registration.
Hence, please also check your other accounts. If you re still encountering problems resetting your password despite having followed our tips, please contact our support team and provide your username and a copy if your ID.
There are a number of reasons why a profile has been blocked on LUXR Unusual activity with uploaded images You may have frequently uploaded images to LUXR which do not correspond to the image guidelines.
The most common reason for an image being deleted is that it is already being used on other sites on the internet. In this manner, we aim to eliminate fake profiles.
What can you do? Please upload unique photos of yourself which cannot be found on other platforms. Subsequently, please verify your profile.
Please note that you must be easily recognisable in your profile picture. Our image guidelines and instructions for verification can also be found in the Help Center. Unusual activity reported by other users Your behavior was reported frequently by other users. You will subsequently receive a corresponding notification about this in LUXR.
You might be suspended for a few hours, or days. A complete ban is also possible. What can you do? Please wait until the suspension or ban is over, and then consider carefully what you say to other users or do in future. If you need pointers, please consult our Code Of Conduct
If you are unable to upload images, there are a number of possible reasons for this. First of all, you should check if your smartphone is rooted and if you have a third-party gallery app on your smartphone.
LUXR only takes photos from your iPhone Gallery. On iOS devices, you may have to modify your data privacy options before the upload can take place. To modify your data privacy settings on an iOS device, please proceed as follows:
- Close the LUXR app
- Go to your iPhone “Settings”
- Select “LUXR” from the list of Apps and then push the “Camera” switch to the right (it will then be shown in green) After opening the LUXR app again, you should now be able to upload photos from your photo gallery.
In the app, you will find your chats in the top right corner. Simply click on the speech bubble/chat symbol. New chats/messages are marked with a red dot with a number inside.
That number denotes how many unread messages/chats you have with that person.
LUXR opens up a whole range of possibilities for getting to know new people. Each time you encounter an interesting person, all you have to do is click on the green chat symbol below or next to the profile picture of the corresponding person.
Hence, you are always just one click away from directly starting a conversation with him or her. Once the chat screen has been opened, simply compose your message and then tap on the “Send” button. You can tap on the small chat symbol in the top right corner of your app to get an overview of all messages you have written.
This is where you will find both active chats as well as matches. You will also be informed of new chat messages. However, they will only be automatically moved to the top of your list of messages when you have answered them. You can have an unlimited number of active conversations.
Would you like to send your chat partner a photo or video? You can do this at any time on the LUXR app. This is how: Open your chats by clicking on the chat symbol in the top right corner in the app.
Now open the desired chat. Then click on camera symbol under your chat typing area. You can then select “Take photo/Video” or “Access from Camera Roll” or “Access from LUXR Gallery”.
If you would like to delete an entire conversation with a user, you can do this in two ways:
- Open your chats by tapping on the chat symbol at the top right corner of the app. Place your finger on the desired chat and swipe from right to left. The option “Delete” will now appear highlighted in red on the right.
- Click on the three dots “…” on top right corner of the conversation screen, and select “Delete” from the list.
No longer want a certain user to be able to contact you? If so, you can block this user.
- Open the profile of the user you want to block
- Tap on the three dots “…” under their profile picture
- Scroll down to the bottom to “Block”
You can also do the same if you open a conversation with that user.
What happens to the blocked user?
When you block a user, he/she will not be able to view your profile and see your photos or conversations.
You can find an overview of the members you have blocked in the app under “Settings” > “Privacy settings” > “Blocked users” We recommend that you use the block function only when you actually feel harassed by a user.
Sometimes, misunderstandings or disputes with other users may occur. However, we only intervene when it is absolutely essential. In the LUXR app:
- Open the profile of the user you want to block
- Tap on the three dots “…” under their profile picture
- Scroll down to the bottom to “Report”
You can also do the same if you open a conversation with that user.

All you need to do is sync your LUXR profile with Facebook and Voila. Every time you use LUXR, we update your Facebook contacts and Block any new friends by default. Here’s how you do it:
- Click on the small round “Settings” symbol at the top left corner
- Open “Privacy settings” from the menu
- Go to “Who can see my profile” section and click EDIT on “Facebook friends”
- This opens the “Manage Visibility” window. There you can select which of your Facebook friends you allow to view your LUXR profile.

- Open “Privacy settings” from the menu
- Go to “Who can see my profile” section and click EDIT on “Phone contacts”
- This opens the “Manage Visibility” window. There you can select which of your Phone contacts you allow to view your LUXR profile.
1. Verified profiles protect against fake users Our verification feature helps ensuring that all verified LUXR users are real persons. This way we avoid fake profiles. The verification process consists of various stages and is carried out manually by our support and security team. In order to verify the profile, users are sent an identification code with which they take a picture of themselves with the code clearly visible. After they send us this picture it is matched with other pictures from their profile and attributed the verified-status. In this process it is important that the user has uploaded at least one profile picture of himself before the verification request is sent.
2. Report function Our extremely active community helps us detect violation of our guidelines by using the report function on the app. Indications of infringement by other users are followed up immediately. Regarding this matter we have set up a separate procedure in our support and security team especially for young people, to make quick intervention possible. 3. Strict picture controls by the LUXR Support and Security team All requirements concerning profile pictures follow strict guidelines. Naturally only G rated pictures are allowed on LUXR. All suspicious photos are manually controlled and removed by our Support and Security Team. Obvious fake profiles are deleted by us in their entirety.
4. Privacy and Security All information and content of LUXR users is treated with strict confidentiality and is not passed on to third parties. In addition, content, for example chat messages, is SSL encrypted for the protection of users. LUXR allows its members to link their LUXR accounts to their Facebook profiles. With this link, users can use the FB login for LUXR.
5. Separation from your social profile One of the great features of LUXR is that you can separate your social life from your dating life. No longer can your Ex, neighbours, family or work colleague see you on LUXR (unless you want them to). All you need to do is sync your LUXR profile with you Phone contacts and Voila. Every time you use LUXR, we update your Phone contacts and Block any new contacts by default.

You can only cancel your VIP subscription via your payment processor (iTunes). You can manage your subscription contracts in your iTunes account. You can find step-by-step instructions on deactivating automatic payments here.
When the automatic renewal has been deactivated, your VIP status will continue to remain active for the remaining period. You will retain all VIP benefits for this period. Once this period has expired, your profile will be converted to a normal profile. Note: Deleting your LUXR profile does not automatically cancel your subscription!
Please note that you can only cancel your subscription through your payment processor (iTunes). Hence, please check whether you canceled your subscription on time, i.e. 24 hours before it expired. Important: Deleting your profile on LUXR does not automatically cancel your subscription!
